Conde: the municipality's dining scene beyond the beaches
Article 137 of 100 · October 07, 2026 · 1 min read · Destino João Pessoa
Outside the beaches, Conde has few venues documented in recent press, and Pitimbu, to the south, depends heavily on the season.
Discussing Conde's dining scene beyond the beaches requires caution: the research did not find a recent report, in any news outlet or institutional source, mapping restaurants in the municipality's urban core. Rather than inventing a list, this guide records what has a source.
The most recent report located, from Paraíba Business (08/23/2026), shows that part of the scene lies along the highway and in rural areas near the beaches. Turek Grelhados, on PB-008, km 23, serves meats, pastas, fish, shrimp, risottos and regional dishes. Casa de Taipa Tambaba focuses on inland Paraíba cuisine, with galinha de capoeira, rubacão, carne de sol and cassava. Those traveling by car find more options than those on foot.
Further south, in Pitimbu, the same report cites Restaurante do Caldinho and Restaurante Maré, in Praia Bela, near the mouth where river meets sea. According to Catraca Livre, in a 2019 text updated in May 2025, when the restaurants of Praia Bela close, the options are limited to hotel restaurants or reservations, and the offer shrinks outside the high season, from December to February. That report also mentions Bar da Peixada.
There have been food festivals in Conde in past editions, but this research did not find a confirmed recent edition, so no event is announced. Before traveling, confirm by phone or through the venue's official social media whether it will be open, especially on weekdays and outside summer.
