Jacumã and Carapibus: where to eat at Conde's busiest beaches

Jacumã and Carapibus have more urban infrastructure, but the Carapibus cliffs require caution for anyone eating near the edge.

Jacumã and Carapibus are the most urbanized beaches in Conde, and that's where a good part of the municipality's commerce, lodging and services are concentrated. For those arriving by car, the PB-008 is the main access road, and that's where the only establishment in the area with a recent press mention that this research could confirm is located: Turek Grelhados, at km 23, according to Paraíba Business, in a report from August 23, 2026. The piece describes a menu with meats, pastas, fish, shrimp, risottos and regional dishes.

As for stalls and kiosks on the sand, no recent journalistic report or institutional source naming specific venues in Jacumã or Carapibus was found. For that reason, this guide does not cite them. What is known is that Jacumã's waterfront (Praça do Mar) was inaugurated with kiosks as part of the project, according to the newspaper A União, in a report with an unconfirmed date, but the coverage consulted does not allow stating which ones are operating today. Check on site, preferably in the morning and outside holidays.

The most sensitive spot is Carapibus. On May 17, 2025, part of the cliff collapsed after heavy rain, with no injuries, according to Jornal da Paraíba. In March 2026, the MPF presented a technical note pointing to active erosion, immediate risk to life, and the danger of falling rocks and of structures such as pools and decks built over the beach, especially at high tide. The recommendation is to avoid the edge and the base of the cliffs.

In practice, prefer tables away from the cliff face, do not walk near the base as the tide rises, and respect any signage that may be installed. On days of heavy rain, the risk increases, according to the analyses cited.
