History and formation
How the neighborhood took shape
The name Cabo Branco (White Cape) is associated with the whitish appearance of the waters near the coast. The neighborhood is part of João Pessoa's expansion toward the shoreline, which intensified through the 20th century.
As the oceanfront consolidated as a leisure and residential axis, Cabo Branco came to concentrate residential buildings, hotels, restaurants and services along the seaside avenue.
What living in Cabo Branco is like
Urban oceanfront with a seaside avenue, bike lane, promenade and easy access to Tambaú. A sought-after area for those who want to live near the beach.
