Other world cuisines in Paraíba's capital

Hawaiian poke, Iberian gastronomy and Mediterranean tables broaden the city's international menu.

Beyond the Japanese, Italian and pizza trio, the local press records cuisines of other origins, almost always in Manaíra, Cabo Branco and Tambaú. The best documented is Hawaiian: Paraíba Business reported that the Mana Poke chain opened its João Pessoa unit on October 3, 2024, on Rua Bananeiras, in Manaíra, with poke built from dozens of ingredients and expansion plans across the Northeast.

Iberian cuisine appears at SEA Rooftop, which Polêmica Paraíba listed on January 20, 2024 among the season's summer openings, with "Iberian gastronomy" and a sea view, on Avenida Argemiro de Figueiredo. On February 28, 2025, the same site presented Al'Mar Cucina, serving Mediterranean cuisine, on Avenida Cabo Branco, among the city's gastronomic novelties.

In January 2023, Jornal da Paraíba described Orama Rooftop, at the BA'RA hotel, in Cabo Branco, as a venue with contemporary cuisine featuring French, Italian Mediterranean and regional Brazilian influences. The same text mentions Iocá, at the same hotel, with an Italian-inspired menu.

Cuisines such as Mexican, Peruvian, Korean and Indian could not be documented: the names that came up in the search come from directories, TripAdvisor and social media, which are not sufficient as a source, and no recent report confirmed specific venues. The scene, therefore, seems small and concentrated in hotel and waterfront restaurants, but the sources do not allow for stating numbers. Hours and prices should be confirmed with each venue.
