Where to dine for special occasions in João Pessoa

For a special occasion, the first step is to choose the profile: a view, tradition, signature cuisine or a natural setting. The list below is based on news reports, not personal reviews, and each venue should be confirmed before the visit.

For dinner with a view, Nui 360, at the top of Green Tower, in Brisamar, has a menu signed by chef Erick Jacquin and marked five years in January 2026, according to an announcement published in the press. Among the dishes mentioned in the announcement are the steak tartare, shrimp ravioli with mascarpone, lamb shoulder and duck confit.

For signature cuisine, Cozinha Roccia reopened in 2026 in Tambauzinho, according to Folha de Pernambuco. The restaurant is going through a transition toward a brunch, lunch and dinner model, so it is worth checking the current format. In 2024, the Qual a Boa guide, from Jornal da Paraíba, also described The W, in Manaíra, as a venue recognized for the sophistication of its setting and menu.

Among traditional restaurants, the same January 2024 guide included Adega do Alfredo, at the LS Hotel, described as one of the city's most traditional restaurants, and Casa do Bacalhau, in Manaíra, serving European cuisine. Such lists, however, age quickly: one of the south-coast restaurants listed in that 2024 guide was subject to a health-related closure order in January 2026, as recorded in Part VI of this volume — one more reason to confirm the status of any venue before booking.

An alternative is to take advantage of Paraíba Restaurant Week, which offers fixed-price menus at various restaurants. The 9th edition is scheduled for October 15 to November 15, 2026, according to the local press. In every case, confirm hours, dress code and table availability in advance.
